Indemo Secondary Market Update

The Indemo Secondary Market is one of the most anticipated features in our community for 2026, and for good reason.

For investors, the secondary market is an important step toward making Indemo investments more flexible. It is designed to give investors the possibility to buy and sell existing investments with other community members, creating a new layer of potential liquidity on the platform.

In our recent Q2 2026 Review Video, Sergejs and David shared a detailed update on where the secondary market stands today, what has been happening behind the scenes, and what investors can expect next.

Why the Secondary Market Matters

Since the beginning, Indemo has focused on giving retail investors access to real estate-backed investment opportunities that were previously much less accessible.

The secondary market is the next important step in that journey.

Its goal is simple: to make investments on Indemo more flexible by allowing investors to potentially exit earlier or enter existing opportunities through a marketplace between investors.

However, building a secondary market for a regulated investment platform is not only an IT project.

It is not just about coding a feature, designing a page, and launching a button. Because Indemo is a regulated investment firm, the secondary market must also fit into the legal, regulatory, operational, and compliance framework under which Indemo provides investment services.

More Than Just Technology

From the outside, it may look like the secondary market is mainly a technical feature. In reality, it has required a much broader process.

Before technical execution could fully move forward, Indemo had to work through the regulatory setup, prepare the legal framework, define the operational procedures, and make sure the model could be provided in line with the investment services Indemo is licensed to offer. This included preparing a legal memo and presenting the concept to the regulator.

The key question was how the secondary market could be structured within Indemo’s existing license and investment service framework, without creating unnecessary complexity that would significantly delay the launch.

After this work, Indemo presented the proposed legal and regulatory setup to Latvijas Banka, together with the design flow and the planned investor journey. This included the legal consents, checkboxes, disclosure texts, operational logic, and the way the secondary market would function on the platform.

Regulatory Approval Received

The important news is that Indemo has received formal approval from the regulator to move forward with the presented secondary market concept.

This is a major milestone.

It means that the concept has passed the key external regulatory review stage, and the next phase is now in our hands. In practical terms, the focus has now shifted from external approval to execution.

This is an important step forward because the project is no longer waiting for an external confirmation before execution can continue.

Execution Has Started

With the concept approved, Indemo has started the execution phase.

The work now covers several parallel tracks. The product and development teams are working on the technical side, including the design, user flow, front-end, and back-end functionality.

At the same time, the legal and operations teams are preparing the necessary procedures, disclosures, Terms & Conditions, documents, and internal processes required for the secondary market to go live in a regulated and structured way.

The marketing and community side is also important. A secondary market only works well if investors understand how it works, what it is designed to do, and what they should expect from it.

That is why Indemo plans to start preparing the community ahead of the launch with educational materials, explanations, and updates.

Liquidity Is the Key Topic

Launching a secondary market is not only about giving investors a place to list investments for sale.

A marketplace also needs demand.

That is why Indemo is also working with its partners and debt supply partners on a plan to provide additional liquidity. This is connected to the early exit concept that was previously included in the Indemo roadmap.

Instead of treating early exit as a completely separate feature, Indemo plans to integrate it into the secondary market functionality.

The idea is to have liquidity providers who can buy a limited part of listed investments under defined pricing rules. These pricing rules are connected to the revaluation model, which helps support a more structured approach to pricing on the secondary market.

This is important because the goal is not only to allow investors to list assets for sale. The goal is to make the secondary market practical, understandable, and useful.

Expected Timing

Indemo does not want to speculate on an exact launch date while work is still in progress.

However, the current internal target is to launch the first version of the secondary market in autumn 2026. From September, Indemo plans to start preparing the community more actively for the secondary market launch.

This preparation will include educational content, explanations, practical guidance, surveys, and close work with opinion leaders and the community, so that investors understand how the feature works before they start using it.

The goal is for the launch to be clear, sustainable, and easy to follow.

The First Version Will Be an MVP

It is also important to understand that the first version of the secondary market will be an MVP.

This means it will be the first working version of the feature, designed to deliver the core solution functionality promised to investors: the ability to buy and sell assets between community members on the platform.

The first version is an important starting point, not the final destination. The broader vision for the secondary market goes further.

The Long-Term Platform Vision

After the first version is launched, Indemo plans to continue developing the secondary market further.

Besides the upgrades which will be added after the first community feedback, the next major step is to make the secondary market more deeply connected with platform strategies, new and upcoming products and AutoInvest.

In the longer term, the goal is for AutoInvest to be able to interact with the secondary market as well. This could create more advanced functionality, such as buying, selling, and rebalancing according to market rules.

This larger secondary market vision is expected to develop later, with significant upgrades planned for 2027.

What This Means for Investors

For investors, the secondary market represents an important step toward greater flexibility.

Once launched, it is expected to give investors a new way to manage their portfolios by potentially selling existing investments or buying investments already held by other community members without losing the expected return levels.

At the same time, it is important to remember that secondary market liquidity is not guaranteed. Whether an investment can be sold depends on market demand, pricing, liquidity providers, and other platform rules.

That is why Indemo is working not only on the technical launch, but also on the liquidity model, pricing logic, disclosures, and investor education.

A Major Step Forward

The secondary market has been in development since the end of last year, and a significant amount of work has happened behind the scenes. Legal setup, regulatory discussions, operational procedures, design flows, disclosure logic, and technical planning all had to come together before execution could move forward. Now, with formal regulatory approval received and execution underway, the secondary market has entered its next phase.

We will continue to keep the community informed as more progress happens. You can also hear this update directly from Sergejs and David in our Q2 2026 Review Video, where we discuss the secondary market, roadmap progress, and what comes next for Indemo.
